Introduction This Software is a device driver that is used to control test and measurement instruments, which are made by ADC Corp., from a PC through a USB interface. 1.1 Overview of this Device Driver This driver provides functions, which can be used in ADC's instruments, in the form of DLL by using "WinDriver", the Jungo's tool kit for the device driver development. 1.2 Operating Environment This device driver is compatible with the following Operation Systems (OS). Windows 7 (64bit) Windows 8.1 (64bit) Windows 10 (64bit) Windows 11 (64bit) *Windows XP 64-bit editions and Windows Vista(64bit) is not supported. Installing and Uninstalling the ADC Instruments USB Driver 2.1 Installing the Software for the First Time 2.1.1 Downloading the Compressed Installation Files 2.1.2 Decompressing the Compressed Installation Files 2.1.3 Installing the "ADC Instruments USB Driver" 2.1.4 Checking the Software is Installed Correctly 2.1.1 Downloading the Installation Files Download the installation files from either the ADC Corp. web site, "http://www.adcmt.com" or a representative's web site in another country. 2.1.2 Decompressing the Compressed Installation Files The downloaded file is a self-extracting compressed executable file. When this file is double clicked, following files are decompressed: readme.txt and ADCUSBDrvrSetup_x64_170e.exe (170 shows the driver version.) 2.1.3 Installing the "ADC Instruments USB Driver" Double click ADCUSBDrvrSetup_x64_170e.exe to run the installation program. Click the [Next] button, [Use permission] is displayed. Read [License Agreement] and click the [I Agree] button to start the installation. When the "Would you like to install this device software?" message window is displayed, click the [Install] button. When the "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software" message is displayed, click the [Install this driver software anyway] section. Caution After this driver "WinDriver" is installed, connect instruments and a personal computer by using USB cables. To install on Windows, "Administrator" rights are required. 2.1.4 Checking the Software is Installed Correctly Select Control Panel > System or Control Panel > System > Hardware, click "device manager", and then check that "WinDriver" is displayed in the item of the system device or Jungo as a device. 2.2 Uninstalling the Software 2.2.1 Uninstalling ADC Instruments USB Driver Select Start > All Programs > ADC Instrument USB Driver 64-bit Version 1.7.0, then click "Uninstall". Or click Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select [ADC Instrument USB Driver 64-bit Version 1.7.0], and then click the [Change/Remove] button to delete it. For more information, refer to the manual of this driver. Caution Disconnect the USB cable from both the instrument and the PC before uninstalling the software. To uninstall from Windows "Administrator" rights are required. 3. Driver change history Ver 1.7.0 2020/8/20 - Add the 6253 to controllable instruments.
