Introduction This Software is a device driver that is used to control test and measurement instruments,which are made by ADC Corp., from a PC through a USB interface. ** 1.1 Overview of this Device Driver This driver provides functions, which can be used in ADC's instruments, in the form of DLL by using Microsoft's general-purpose USB driver "WinUSB". ** 1.2 Operating Environment This device driver is compatible with the following Operation Systems (OS). - Windows 10 (64-bit) - Windows 11 (64-bit) - Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 are not supported. This device driver is compatible with the following Languages. - Microsoft Visual C++ /CLI, C++ - Microsoft Visual C# - Microsoft Visual Basic (.NET or later) - Excel VBA in Microsoft Excel 6.0/7.0 (VBA) [Caution] This device driver can be used in an OS and Languages listed above. However some PC operations and Languages may not be usable. Installing and Uninstalling the ADC Instruments USB Driver ** 2.1 Installing the Software for the First Time *** 2.1.1 Downloading the Installation Files Download the installation files from either the ADC Corp. web site, "http://www.adcmt.com" or a representative's web site in another country. "ADCUSB_DrvrSetup_x64_2XXe.zip" (2XX varies depending on the driver version) *** 2.1.2 Decompressing the Compressed Installation Files The downloaded file is a compressed file in zip format. If you extract this file from Windows Explorer, the following file will be created. "readme_e.txt" (this file) "ADCUSB_DrvrSetup_x64_2XX.exe" *** 2.1.3 Installing the "ADC Instruments USB Driver" Double click “ADCUSBDrvrSetup_x64_2XXe.exe” to run the installation program. Click the [Next] button, a license agreement will be displayed. Read License Agreement and click the [I accept this license agreement] button to start the installation. From now on, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. When the [Would you like to install this device software?] message is displayed, click the [Install] button. [Caution] After this driver is installed, connect instruments and a PC by using USB cables. To install on Windows, "Administrator" rights are required. *** 2.1.4 Checking the Software is Installed Correctly [Start] Menu right click > [Device Manager] select. Confirm that the following is displayed when each measuring device is connected to the PC. For more information, refer to the manual of this driver. [Caution] Disconnect the USB cable from both the instrument and the PC before uninstalling the software. To uninstall from Windows "Administrator" rights are required. * 3.
